Dear Reader,

You are reading the first issue of the scientific journal published by the Council on

Geopolitics. In our world geopolitics as such is understood in many different ways,

biased from many angles, but what is common in these approaches is that they want

to examine the given question as thoroughly as possible.

The history of human mankind has proved that the discourse between different views

and opinions will rather succeed than the exclusivity of any. In the scientific world it

is especially important to be able to discuss and debate questions respecting other

opinions and doing our best to remain unbiased.

I wish that the Geofocus shall be successful in communicating to You the latest

scientific views, and shall give a chance to the opinions which, despite their quality,

might be forced into the background. We also hope to provide a forum for the current

questions that do threaten the world’s security.
